The Human Health Sciences degree offers a unique interdisciplinary training with course work in training in various aspects of healthcare, ethics, policy, inclusion, integrity, community, and intentionality, and other relevant topics. 

CURRICULUM and PROGRAM OF STUDY

Upon completion of the degree, students are able to successfully enter the allied health workforce in fields that include:

  • Clinical Research Assistant
  • Mobility Specialist
  • Clinical Business Office Manager
  • Patient Financial Counselor
  • Health and Wellness Coach
  • Work Site Wellness Advocate

Two Concentrations

Students can pick a concentration in Allied Health Studies or Health Professions. 

1. Allied Health Studies

Allied Health Sciences prepares students for careers in areas like children, family and social services; gerontology; or the business side of medicine.

2. Health Professions

Health Professions provides preparation for graduate level professional training in areas like occupational therapy, physician assistant, physical therapy, medicine, and dentistry.

Possible Career Paths Upon Graduation

  • On completion of the degree, students will have the skills to:
    • Successfully enter the allied health workforce.
    • Be competitive applicants for graduate schools in a range of allied health fields.
  • Graduates will be competitive applicants for health-related professional programs, including physician assistants, physical therapy, and occupational therapy, among others. 
  • Graduates may obtain jobs in entry-level allied health-related jobs, such as clinical research assistant, mobility specialist, clinical administrative assistant, orthopedic technician, health education/wellness specialist, patient financial counselor, health information technician, surgical technician, health and wellness coach, or work site wellness advocate.
