UNC Greensboro’s Human Health Sciences B.S. degree (HHSci) program, provides a path for undergraduate students to pursue in-demand careers in the helping professions and health-related fields.

The Human Health Sciences B.S. degree IS THE ONLY PROGRAM OF ITS KIND IN THE TRIAD, AND ONE OF ONLY A FEW IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

The program offers a unique interdisciplinary training that many employers are seeking, with course work in training in various aspects of healthcare, ethics, policy, inclusion, integrity, community, and intentionality, and other relevant topics.

Human Health Sciences B.S. Students choose from Two Concentrations

  • Allied Health Studies
  • Health Professions

Allied Health Sciences prepares students for careers in social services, gerontology, and healthcare management. Health Professions prepares students to apply for graduate programs in occupational therapy, PA studies, physical therapy, medicine, and dentistry.

HHSci also provides a strong foundation for graduate coursework in areas like gerontology, genetic counseling, kinesiology, hospital administration, or other related health disciplines.

Living Learning Communities (LLC)

Our Living Learning Community is a unique opportunity for our students. They can live alongside fellow UNC Greensboro students interested in health sciences in a close-knit, co-ed community in  Reynolds Hall.

The LLC helps students transition to college by fostering connection, academic growth, and exploration of health careers. Participants often experience higher retention and graduation rates, greater integration into campus life, and more meaningful engagement with faculty and program goals.
